What to Expect

Welcome to Vintage Blogs! Honestly, there are a lot of reasons as to why, we started this blog. The most important one (for me at least) is that it's a cathartic experience. Like John mentioned earlier, all three of us grew up as wrestling fans in the Attitude Era and frankly speaking the state of wrestling was a lot better 10 years ago. That's not to say there isn't anything good in wrestling these days. It's been an absolute pleasure watching CM Punk evolve into one of the marquee names in wrestling. Ever since the inception of the Straight Edge Society, he has been absolutely on top of his game, and is making a helluva case to be considered as one of the best heels in the company. Speaking of heels, I have to mention Chris Jericho who goes out every night and backs his claim of "being the best in the world at what he does." Then there are guys like Miz, Edge, Orton and Christian who have entertaining characters, instead of the genericness that most WWE gimmicks have.

Unfortunately, wrestlers like the ones I mentioned are part of the very few bright spots in wrestling right now. Instead, we get things like absolutely atrocious Guest Host Gimmick. The amount of shitty guest hosts has simply been staggering. Of course, I can't forget the amazingly obnoxious Hornswoggle. His "feud" with Chavo was an insult to every wrestling fan's intelligence. What's even worse? The time that gets devoted to this troll could be used to develop personalities for talented mid card wrestlers like Kofi or Jack Swagger. Both these guys are far more talented and more deserving of pushes than that black hole of charisma known as Drew McIntyre. With so much wrong with wrestling these days, it's nice to have an outlet. My hope is that I can entertain you sycophants, while getting a few things off my chest.

You can expect reviews for Raw, Smackdown, and NXT from me or my fellow bloggers. For those of you who want a review for Impact, I'm sorry to tell you, I have a threshold for wrestling induced torture. You can also expect frequent updates with links to entertaining matches or promos. One of the biggest casualties of the PG-era have been the promos especially when it comes to faces. Stone Cold and The Rock got amazing reactions from the crowd with their edgy and original promos. Now, faces are relegated to making recycled jokes. No wonder, they can barely get reactions from the crowd. You can also expect PPV previews and recaps involving all three of us. Occasionally, I might throw something at you hypocrites and miscreants. It might be a book review (wrestling related or not), TV news/reviews or film reviews/news.

Anyway, this intro has gone on for quite long. Here is hoping, we can entertain our fellow wrestling fans and have some fun ourselves.
